We’ve Made it Even Easier for PR Freelancers to Get Hired
The PR Cavalry
We’ve been investing in The PR Cavalry platform and have made a big change that will mean more opportunities for PR Freelancers to get hired on briefs that are ideally suited to their skills and experience.
If you’re a PR Freelancer, the changes are very much for your benefit, so please read this to the end.
Until now, when a client who wants hire a PR Freelancer posted a search, the platform sends the client the 10 closest matched profiles and the client typically shortlists three or four freelancers.
Clients tell us they are always amazed by the accuracy of the matching and the quality of the talent.
BUT…
If you are just outside those 10 matches you miss out, even though you might be very well suited and have the capacity.
Also, if you are matched and shortlisted you might not have capacity or you have a conflict, which is frustrating for everyone.
So from now clients can opt to do a BROAD SEARCH which works like this.
- The algorithm finds the best 30 matches in our talent pool
- You get notified of the match and you then have seven days to send a short response consisting of:
- A summary of your relevant experience
- Your initial questions for the client having read the brief
- Your availability and your typical day rates for the kind of work described in the brief
- The client will shortlist from the responses and then you both discuss it in more detail
- Appoint as normal on the platform
Advantages for you:
- You get more opportunities to be matched to assignments
- You can tailor your initial response to the brief without it being onerous (or decline with a click)
- Both client and freelancer start with a realistic understanding of the other’s position.
As now, the freelancers who respond quickly and keep their profile up to date give themselves a huge advantage and clients may appoint at any time in the seven day window.
Please get in touch if you have any questions and now is a good time to edit your profile and bring it up to date. Watch our explainer on how to make it as good as it can be https://prcavalry.com/get-hired-as-a-pr-freelancer/
